Less is More. I'm a believer in the notion that simplicity and clarity lead to good design - keeping it simple. I'm curious, empathetic, ethical, rigorous, and experimental. I appreciate a holistic way of solving design problems in collaborative teams. Design thinking, brainstorming, rough layouts, and learning through testing, but never discounting a designer's intuition.
I seek to learn what works and do more of it. Learn what doesn't work and change it.
As a design leader, I seek to own creative excellence at every touch point. I'm a passionate student of real-world design, users, consumers, trends, competitors and culture. I am always seeking to learn more and to see what is new in the world through conferences, courses, and workshops to better myself and my designs.
Design is problem solving, and to honor that you need to understand your client, their needs and your target audience.
During my career I have had the opportunity to work with and lead teams on a wide range of projects around the globe. I have over 14 years of industry experience, working across many different fields ranging from pure digital, web, interactive, UI, connected product interfaces, traditional graphic design, mobile, vehicle wrapping, signage, packaging, product design, brand identity, and interactive service/product/platform design.
I have been fortunate to work with such forward-thinking companies as InterContinental Hotels, Terra Networks, Coca-cola, Petrobras, Junior Achievement, the State of Florida, Florida Lottery, and more.
I also have taught online and face-to-face classes for web and graphic design courses at the college level, and I sat on award jury panels organized by the Northeast Iowa Community College.
